SOFTWARE I'VE USED
Photoshop- Used to create album cover, album back, album spine and magazine advert. I found this programme simple and straight forward to use.
Premier Pro - Video Editing for main music video and vox pops. We viewed the clip in the left hand side screen and the actual timeline in the right.
YouTube - Uploading Videos to be able to embed them onto my blog
Microsoft Powerpoint - Used to present research and some planning such as locations and narrative.
www.prezi.com - online powerpoints for budgets and target market. This allows presentations to be animated and more interesting.
www.video.online-convert.com/convert-to-mp4 - used to convert AVI files to MP4. It was a very straight forward to use and was very fast.
www.yola.com - to create the website for our artist as part of promotion
www.blogger.com - used to upload all coursework for Media Studies A2 Digi Pack
HARDWARE I'VE USED
Mac- used to edit all work for our Digi Pack
Canon Digital Camera - used to take still shots for our album and magazine advert. It was a very high quality camera, meaning that our final images would be of a high quality.
Sony HD Digital Video Camera - to shoot music video and vox pops. This was also of a high quality and was very easy to use. It was also simple to transfer all videos onto the mac.
Studio Lighting - used whilst filming and photo shoot to create a natural/even lighting. They were very simple to use.
Green Screen - used to shoot parts of our music video and parts of our photo shoot. This allowed us to easily add a chosen background. This was simple to set up and easy to put away.
Tripods- this allowed us to keep the camera still when shooting. It also allowed us to tilt the camera at a point and pan the shot.
RE-SHOOTING?
For our music video, our group decided to re-shoot the dancing scenes. This was because the 1st location we used didn't look very professional as the floor was scuffed and the location looked too 'school drama studio'. Therefore, we decided to re-shoot Olivia dancing on the green screen in a media room, so we would be able to edit in any background we wanted. This worked perfectly, however, we found that space was restricted, so we had to ensure that the dance didn't leave the green screen. This was the only re-shooting we did for our music video.
